HealthCare Alliance Group LLC, an innovative, full-service medical communications company, is adding a full-time Director, Business Development. This role will be responsible for increasing revenue and developing new business, contributing to strategic direction and providing oversight of client services. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Work with the VP, Strategy and Business Development, and other internal stakeholders to develop and execute annual and quarterly strategic development plans to meet and exceed targeted sales quotas and grow HCA Group  

  • Identify potential business opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements; tracking individual pharmaceutical companies and their strategies, products, and pipelines 

  • Propose potential business deals by contacting potential partners; discovering and exploring opportunities 

  • Assist the Strategic Development Team in planning and developing proposals; includes review and preparation of proposals, and working with Accounting Department to assist in the development of proposal budgets 

  • Assist in the development of individualized capabilities presentations and product pitches 

  • Review launched initiatives to ensure all deliverables are met to satisfaction and on budget 

  • Identification of Pharma/BioTech Industry new business opportunities. 

  • Development and review of project proposals, RFIs, RFPs and budgets. 

  • Follow up on submitted proposals 

  • Monitor and track the status of proposal submissions 

  • Meet Monthly/Quarterly/Annual/ Quotas and Goals set by supervisor 

  • Work with Accounting Department on program budgets 

  • Oversee projects to Account Managers as they are awarded 

  • Attend (as necessary) national and international programs that are managed by HCA Group 

  • Develop and present capability presentations to prospective clients 

  • Up to 25% travel required in this position (including nights and weekends) 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field, from a four-year college or university, or the equivalent combination of education and experience 

  • Five (5+) or more years of experience in Medical Education, Pharmaceutical marketing and/or Pharmaceutical advertising industries 

  • Knowledge of PhRMA Code, OIG Regulations, Physician Payments Sunshine Act, and other industry guidelines a must 

  • Top notch client management and sales skills experience 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and relationship building skills 

  • Exceptional research, organizational and planning skills 

  • Salesforce or CRM experience 

  • Microsoft Office product proficiency
