RMEI Medical Education, LLC, a full-service medical education company, is seeking a part-time editorial intern to assist the Senior Medical Editor with editorial reviews, proofreading, and fact checking of medical education activities per the RMEI Style Guide and AMA Manual of Style. The internship is part-time with a minimum time commitment of 16 hours a week.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Proofread and fact check a variety of medical education and patient education materials (ie, registration websites, online activities, PowerPoint slide presentations, transcripts, journal articles, program workbooks, posters, marketing materials, etc.) for adherence to organization and style guidelines and to verify that editor's and author's corrections are incorporated at each stage.
  • Ensure correct grammar, spelling, usage, and adherence to AMA, ACCME, company, and client styles (when appropriate)
  • Perform online research as necessary (ie, verifying terminology citations, Pub Med searches, etc.)
  • Conduct necessary background research and literature searches

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • Current Junior, Senior or Graduate level student pursing a Bachelor/ Master’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications or relevant degree
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, advanced grammar and writing skills
  • Self-starter and problem solver, with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Microsoft PowerPoint
